Jack Savoretti returns to Athens on September 25, 2026, at Lycabettus Theatre.

The Athens concert will be one of the first stops of the “We Will Always Be the Way We Were” Tour 2026 in Europe, before Savoretti continues through cities including Sofia, Bucharest, Budapest, Krakow, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich and Milan. The tour will then move to the UK and Ireland in October and November. The tour follows the release of Savoretti’s ninth studio album, We Will Always Be the Way We Were, which arrived on April 10, 2026. Released twenty years after his debut album Between the Minds, the record finds him reconnecting with the musical roots and storytelling style that shaped the beginning of his career. Recorded at Eastcote Studios in West London with members of his longtime touring band, the album spans 13 tracks and includes songs such as “Do It For Love,” “Only Gonna Cry For You,” “I Hear You Calling” and the title track. It also features a collaboration with KT Tunstall on “Tempting Fate,” while Miles Kane co-wrote “Do It For Love.” For Savoretti, the album represents something of a full-circle moment: a return to the musicians, places and creative instincts of his early years, now viewed through two decades of experience. That sense of reflection feels particularly suited to the open-air setting of Lycabettus Theatre. With Athens among the first stops of the European leg, the September concert will offer Greek audiences an early opportunity to experience this chapter of Savoretti’s career on the new tour.

A Surprise Athens Appearance Ahead of the Show

Savoretti has already given Athens a small taste of what is to come. On September 3, the singer-songwriter made a surprise acoustic appearance on Ermou Street, performing an intimate open-air set in the heart of the city. The performance, organised by Pepper 96.6 in collaboration with the City of Athens, included songs such as “The One”, “We Will Always Be the Way We Were”, “Candlelight”, “Love Is On The Line” and “What More Can I Do”, with Savoretti even taking requests from the crowd.

The spontaneous appearance adds an extra sense of anticipation to his return later this month, when he takes the stage at Lycabettus Theatre on September 25 as part of the early European dates of the tour.
